ANTIBODY TESTING AVAILABLE AT TEQUESTA HELIX URGENT CARE

Helix Urgent Care Center of Tequesta now offering Quest Diagnostics Covid-19 IGG antibody test by appointment only.

This is a blood draw test. The blood specimen is drawn in the office and sent to Quest Diagnostics for processing. The results are available 48-72 hours. This is not a finger stick. All patients are required to check in, and be evaluated by the provider.

The IGG Covid-19 Antibody test is a good diagnostic tool to evaluate for Covid-19 exposure or illness at least 4-6weeks prior to the date of the test. At this time, any exposure or illness prior to March 15, 2020 that may have been Covid-19 should show positive on the IGG antibody test. According to Quest Diagnostics their test has a greater than 90+% Sensitivity and Specifity in controlled studies. (Go to Quest Diagnostics website for more information).  If your test is “positive” this means you have immunity to Covid-19 and were exposed or ill from this virus. The length of immunity is unknown at this time according to the CDC and NIH.

Appointments are being scheduled by phone. All appointments are 15 minutes apart. We ask that couples or families wait in the car or outside until their appointment time unless directed otherwise.  At this time most insurance companies are absorbing any urgent care co-pays or deductibles but check with your insurance company to be sure. Quest Diagnostics will bill your insurance company for the antibody test. Again any costs for the tests is dependent on the insurance company and your specific covered benefits and copays. We also offer cash pay price of $250 that includes the office visit and lab test combined for any uninsured patient.
