Hurricane Harvey

hurricane harvey_NEWSFEED

The Village of Tequesta always steps up to the plate to offer assistance during disasters.

However, the Florida Division of Emergency Management (via the Florida League of Cities) has provided us with an important message regarding Hurricane Harvey.

At this time, Texas has no ability to deal with physical donations (clothes, food, etc.), no matter how well-intentioned.

They have asked us to get the word out to our communities that right now, the best way to assist is through cash donations to a recognized charity.

Let's do what we can to help our fellow Americans. https://www.nvoad.org/.

Once they start requesting physical donations, we will work with recognized charities and reach out to our community to help provide donations. Thank you.
