The Village of Tequesta is conducting an executive search for its next Village Manager
The Village of Tequesta is currently conducting an executive search for its next Village Manager. After 18 years of service, Village Manager Michael Couzzo will be retiring on December 31, 2018 and a national search commenced on June 7, 2018. The search and selection process is expected to take approximately four months to complete, and will be an open, transparent process. Sixty-one applications were received from across 21 States/Territories when the ad closed on Wednesday, June 27, 2018. There were 34 applicants each from Florida (*2 Residents of Tequesta); 3 Applicants from Virginia; 2 Applicants each from Georgia, Colorado, Illinois, New Jersey and Ohio and 1 Applicant each from Arizona, California, District of Columbia, Iowa, Louisiana, Maine, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Washington and West Virginia. The Council will meet this evening in a workshop for preliminary discussion.
At a special Council meeting on July 25, six candidates were selected to be interviewed on August 8. The Council’s decision was made after 15 candidates responded to a writing exercise in mid-July. The candidates moving forward are:

- Lawrence McNaul, IA
- Francine Ramaglia, FL

During a Special Council meeting last evening, the Council decided to re-advertise for the upcoming vacancy in the Village Manager's position. The job description will be posted shortly.
