Florida City Government Week

October 18th through October 24th  fcgw-logo_2021

Florida City Government Week runs from Monday, October 18 through Sunday, October 24.  This event is held annually across the state to celebrate, showcase and engage citizens in the work of municipal government.  During this time, we will post quotes, testimonials and experiences  from our residents on what you LOVE about the Village.   We will release these items throughout the week via our website, social media and VOT NEWS.

To submit an  item, please submit the “We LOVE our Village” form.

Proclamation

A PROCLAMATION OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUETA OF RECOGNIZING FLORIDA CITY GOVERNMENT WEEK, OCTOBER 18-24, 2021 AND ENCOURAGING ALL CITIZENS TO SUPPORT THE CELEBRATION AND CORRESPONDING ACTIVITIES.

The Proclamation will be read during the October 14, 2021 Council Meeting.

Historical Tidbits

While Tequesta is fairly young compared to other Florida municipalities, we are rich in history.  Our two Historicals, former Mayor Pat Watkins and Marcia Nielson have researched our historical archives and provided interesting historical tidbits that will be released throughout the week via our website, social media and VOT NEWS.

Tequesta Photos

Are you an avid photographer of all things Tequesta?  This is your opportunity to submit them to the Village and let us share your gems with your fellow residents.  We will post submitted Tequesta photos throughout the week via our website, social media and VOT NEWS. You may even see the picture on an official publication during the year!

To submit a photo, please send a “We LOVE our Village” form.

Photo guidelines:  The photos must be family friendly and a picture taken within the incorporated Village of Tequesta.   Examples (not all inclusive):  nature, sunset over the river, or family activities at a Village function.    All submitted photos may not be posted if we receive a large number of entries.
