Mission Statement
We, the members of the Tequesta Police Department, exist to serve all within our Village with respect, fairness and dedication.
We honor the public’s trust by holding ourselves to the highest standards of performance and integrity.
We pledge that through our efforts, we will be the standard of excellence in law enforcement and service to our community, the State of Florida and the United States of America.
Operations Division
The Operations Division is the largest component of the agency. The division is divided into Uniform Patrol and Criminal investigations.The Uniform Patrol Section is under the direct supervision of four sergeants. This section also supervises several specialized units including Bicycle Patrol, Traffic Enforcement, K-9 Unit, and the Marine Unit.
The Criminal Investigations Section consists of two general crimes detective responsible for investigating crimes such as homicide, robbery, burglary, theft, forgery, assaults and batteries. This section also conducts special investigations including vice and narcotics cases.
Staff Services Division
The Tequesta Police Department serves as a primary Public Safety Answering Point for all 911 calls in the Village. Communications Officers receive, process and dispatch all police, fire and medical emergencies within the Village, and every 911 call received is given immediate special attention by highly trained professionals.The Center is staffed by four full-time and five part-time communications officers.
