Sea Turtle Nesting

Sea Turtle Respect the Locals

Between March 1 and October 31, sea turtles nest on the 9.5-mile stretch of beach that Loggerhead Marinelife Center monitors, which spans from the northern Palm Beach County line to the northern boundary of John D. MacArthur Beach State Park.

All property owners located on Beach Road are required to comply with the Palm Beach County Sea Turtle Ordinance.  Palm Beach County performs random nighttime inspections and reports back to the Village if they find anyone to be in violation.  The Village then will contact the property owners, an Palm Beach County will follows up with a re-inspection.  This applies to all Beach Road properties whether they are existing or new construction.
