The Environmental Advisory Committee meets on the 2nd Wednesday of the month from 2:00 pm to 4:30 p.m. to develop recommendations for best practices, fostering community partnerships, and within the bounds of the Village's Comprehensive Development Plan, to develop recommendations for goals, objectives and policies relative to sustaining and improving the environment for the Village of Tequesta.  

The current vacancy is due to two recent resignations.  The Village Council shall fill the vacancies during the February 9, 2023 Council Meeting.  The appointed members will fill the remainder of the two terms.  

The application can be downloaded from the Village’s website under the Village Clerk’s page.  Applicants must be incorporated Village residents and registered voters.

The Village has six (6) active boards and committees, whose members are generally appointed by the Village Council (with a few exceptions). The boards and committees members are volunteers who have an interest in serving in a local governmental non-paid capacity for the betterment of their community.

  • Charter Review Board (sunsetted and no longer meeting)
  • Environmental Advisory Committee
  • Planning and Zoning Board (and Local Planning Agency and One Cent Sales Tax Oversight)
  • General Employee Pension Board
  • Public Safety Pension Board
  • History Committee (2 volunteers in the Clerk's Office - not appointed by Council)

Additional boards and committees can be established by the Village Council as the need arises.
