We work diligently to reunite lost property with its rightful owner. If you have lost an item, please check our Found Property List to see if it has been turned in.

Found & Unclaimed Property

Pursuant to Florida State Statues: Sections 705.103 & 705.105, the Tequesta Police Department will dispose of found and unclaimed property, as well as evidence that does not have an identifiable owner and has been retained for more than 90 days.

The property may be disposed of in one of the following ways:
✔️ Destroyed if determined to have no value
✔️ Surrendered to the finder
✔️ Retained for official agency use
✔️ Transferred to another governmental unit
✔️ Donated to a charitable organization
